twenty nine years ago I met a darling little girl. she came into my life at 3:18 pm on a Saturday (well, in reality, nine amazing months before). children are a gift from God. and we were blessed with her. the perfect child. loving. healthy. beautiful. intelligent. giving. happy. trustworthy. loyal. grateful. graceful. talented.
as children tend to do, this little bundle of joy grew up. went to university. moved away. married a wonderful man. gave us an adorable grand-dog. and, these days, talk of grandchildren is frequently heard (and, just to be clear, not prompted by this anxious grammy-in-waiting).
time flies when you're having fun and these many years have sped by. when I wonder where the days went, I feel them in my heart and soul with every embrace, conversation, memory, photograph and well-worn keepsake.
so I would just like to say thank you for filling my life so full, for teaching me a new side of love, for loving me. quite simply, thank you for being you.
