all sorts of things pop up on my FaceBook page. mostly news from friends and kiddos. but the occasional odd story comes through from a random like. from a random friend. one of those came through today. it was a story about a 'little house'. a couple had built their tiny home on acreage. room for two in 500 square feet. blissfully happy.
it caught my eye because a drive in the country years ago took me to a place where they make these little dwellings. it was a lovely day walking among so many small architectural masterpieces. just big enough. and charming. and gave that 'what if' feeling that is so fulfilling.
so I promptly went to the blog of the little house lady. and here's the rest of the story. the re-post I saw on FB was originally written in September. tragically, two days before Thanksgiving, the husband suffered a heart attack and passed away. totally unexpected. heartbreaking. she is. somehow. dealing with her loss. what courage it must take for her to write. and share. she wrote, 'seems like the stars don't shine as bright ... .'
it is not what I expected to find. following that story. visiting that blog. but I will continue to watch her journey. and learn. be thankful. grateful. blessed. traveling my own.
'I didn't say 'I love you' to hear it back. I said it make sure you knew.'
