day by day

enjoying immensely our holiday in sunny California. I will fill you in on our travelogue later, but all has been merry and bright. there is much joy in the air. and in my heart.

loving spending darling daughters first Christmas with them in their new house. everything is perfect. they are content and happy. life is sweet and good. and oh so excited about this next step in their lives. the world is their oyster. and they thrilled with every single day. and what the future holds.

delighting in the fact that adorable son is decidedly happy. he is witty and charming and ever so handsome. he is in love. he is happily employed doing work he loves. he sees the world and opportunity ahead with enthusiasm.

I knew all these things to be true before we came to visit, but there is something about seeing it first hand that makes it real. tangible. heartwarming. and it makes for a very happy mommy.

it has been a very merry Christmas. and with days to go in our visit I know I am up for the task of making memories, taking hugs at every opportunity and love shared exuberantly.
