shine on

life is ... unexpected. the normal bits and pieces hum along. issues crop up and get resolved. sometimes with unexpected results.

my week has been full of meetings. get into a room full of folks and it's amazing what happens. opinions can be enlightening. funny. amazing. insightful. incredible. incredulous. frustrating. hurtful. healing. inspiring. and ever so productive.

sometimes it is good to just sit back and listen. sometimes it is good to be able to say a few words. sometimes it is good to be in charge. sometimes it is good, very good, not to be.

give me strength to work and help and be of service. give me the opportunity and the skill and the wisdom. the strength to always raise my hand. and the courage to occasionally say no. these things I pray.
