wise words from my on-line blogger friend. I like to call her my friend, even though we have never met. you have heard me quote her and her no-negativity challenge a few million times. and in this season of giving I felt her words pertinent.
she makes two wonderful, meaningful observations in her blog this week. and I would like to pass them along here to anyone, everyone, that is listening.
'1. the primary purpose of being human is to experience love, to give love, to receive love. whether through faith or the act of simply being human.
2. we must stop waging war against ourselves and each other with negative thoughts and language. she reminds us of a folk tale.
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. "A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.
It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego." He continued, "The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed." '

what it all boils down to is my same ol' story. my entire repertoire. my little song and dance. you've heard it over and over. but it bears repeating.
choose. it's either fear or love baby. I choose love.
